The Surge to Diyala

Every Memorial Day and Veteran's Day, I post this video created by a friend of mine with whom I served in Iraq.  I was part of the "Surge" back in 2007 - after only being home from my first deployment for a year. 


Corey, who created this video, worked with the Provincial Reconstruction Team in Diyala Province - specifically the city of Baqoubah - which was a hotbed of insurgency.


While Baqoubah became safe(er), it was not without the sacrifice of many.
